A spectacular week. Brilliant tidal sailing. Mainly in enclosed bay with islands and creeks.
More than 1,000 traditional sailing craft in 10 fleets, from three-masted tall ships to small dingies.

Flotillas - Molly was in Flotilla 3b, Traditional Leisure boats & Open boats. ("Sail & Oar" is Flotilla 2). Molly's page in the offical list.
Two other "Whalers" boats were in the same fleet.

Brilliant tidal sailing, mainly in enclosed bay with islands and creeks.
More than 1,000 traditional sailing boats in 10 fleets, from three-masted tall ships to small dingies. A spectacular week!

Some maintenance may need to be done at our mooring during the preceding weeks.
Molly will probably be hauled out on the previous Wednesday (22nd April) so only two days will be available for maintenance ashore.]

Travel -
Depart Henley Sat 25th, or Sun 26th. Sometimes we stop at Hede, approx. 45 minutes drive from St. Malo, with trailer parking at the ruined castle. Croissants bought from the local bakery are enjoyed with coffee at the Tabac.

Arrival - Sunday 26th or Monday 27th
Accommodation - "Whalers" have 3 (or 4?) x 2-bedroom mobile-home/chalets at "Camping Pen Mar", near Lamor Baden.
Reception closed 12:00 - 15:00 ? See "Practical information - Opening hours"
Accommodations, See here then select "Mobile home, 2 bedrooms".
They "graciously provide you with pillows, sheets and blankets.". Own sheets/sleeping bags might be useful?. Take towell.
We usually avoid the "formule" breakfast at the campsite (extra charge) in favour of self catering with our own supplies of tea, coffee, porridge oats, bacon etc.
The "Molly" tea-pot and others must taken along, plus kettles (not part of French inventories).
